The school was established on 9th sept 1985 by the blessed hands of Shri N.D.Grover, the former director of D.A.V. Institutions  Ranchi Zone under the banner of D A V College Managing Committee, New Delhi. It is a project school financed by Steel Authority Of India Ltd ( Raw Material Division) Lime Stone Mines, Kuteshwar. It happens to be the first school in this locality which is imparting best education to the students for rural background at a reasonable & concessional fee. The school was upgraded to class X in 1991 and to class XII in 1993. The school has a building provided by the project itself. The school is excelling not only in the field of academics but also in co-curricular and extra -curricular activities. It has earned the name and fame among all other D A V Public Schools of Madhya Pradesh Zone. The school is also conducting value education programmes under the aegis of D A V Centre of Academic Excellence, New Delhi.
